This Monster 1200J Surge Protector looks actually really cool. It does not look like a regular power surge. It is black in color, but the cord is braided Nylon, six feet in length. Aside from looking cool, it also makes it sturdier, so I expect this to last. There are 6 grounded outlets (the ones with the 3 prongs. The third prong is there to send the extra power back into the ground. This prevents power surges from overloading your equipment). The plug is designed to not block other outlets by bearing to the side, so you can use a top outlet without blocking the bottom one. It has an on and off switch, and a LED light indicator. The higher the joules, the more energy it can absorb before it fails. So, at 1200 joules, this will provide protection to small power tools or office equipment, like a printer or copier. I like the braided cord as opposed to the other cords that they sell, just feels like its better made. It has 6 outlets with a 3 pronge plug. Its dark colored which suits the decor of the room as well.

This extension cord holds 6 plugs at once. You can add devices that have two and three prong electrical plugs. The back of it has holes for anchoring to a wall or entertainment stand. Because it's black it blends in well on the corner of mine.
