Mr. Coffee - Espresso Machine with 19 bars of pressure and Milk Frother - Stainless Steel

We bought this unit about a year ago, used it pretty much only on weekends, nice while it worked, but it didn't last long! The Milk Frother Unit clogs up very very easily with its very small aperture, Impossible (thus far) to find a replacement part for the Frother Head Unit ... one would think that as easily as these clog and difficult/impossible to really clean that they would at least sell replacement parts for them ... but No! My advice ... spend a little more and buy a better-quality unit than this "cheap" option. You'll be buying a nother unit when this one fails in a year or so anyway. Cheap quality ... cheap price!

My husband and I bought this several months ago and love the machine. However, I can't recommend it because it doesn't seem to be possible to obtain replacement parts. When I accidentally threw out the removable coffee filter basket, it took me weeks to find a similar one online (not actually a Mr. Coffee part). Then we lost the Milk frothing Tube Guide Lever and dispensing tube, which are removable for cleaning. Unfortunately, those parts don't seem to be available for purchase anywhere. Since the milk function doesn't work at all without those parts, the machine is basically useless.

I bought this machine for Christmas 2020 as a family gift thinking we would save money on Starbucks. It was very easy to use and we made great Espresso's and Latte's.... I loved it.....until the container holding the milk will no longer stay attached to the coffee machine and therefore will not steam milk. After less than 6 months it is useless for anything needing steamed milk. I am told it only has a 90 day warranty so now I am out of luck.

This is the second machine we bought. The first one was the Mr. Coffee cafe barista. One day the machine would not froth the milk. We thought that it was just a malfunction. We called support and they were not able to determine what was wrong with it. It lasted 1 year and 6 months. So, in order to replace it, we bought the One Touch Espresso and Cappuccino machine. the same thing happened, after 1 year and 6 months the machine stops frothing the milk. It is frustrating that both machines lasted the same time length and then presented the same problem. Only my sister and I use it but I guess they make them in such a way that after a period of time they will not work. So basically we will need to change brands and get a machine that will last longer than that.

I was so excited when I first used this product. I absolutely love the contemporary look and portable size. It makes great tasting espressos, cappuccinos and especially great lattes! I love how the buttons are detailed and the blinking and solid light lets you know when it’s ready. However, I dislike how you have to change the coffee grounds after one use because the coffee filter is so small and it’ll taste like watered down coffee if you use it again. I also would’ve enjoyed a bigger portion for the double cup selection as it only makes a small amount of coffee not including the frothed milk. Overall, I absolutely love my new Mr. Coffee maker and will continue to enjoy it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
