Love this tofu! works for " egg salad" to frying up in the pan. Not alot of water to drain and I don't bother pressing it. Sometimes I just eat a few pieces plain with salt. Also a great price!
I love this brand and product but 2 of the last 4 packages were bad (but not beyond expiration date) I did an order pick up and one of the packages leaked but I couldn’t tell which one. Well when I went to eat it I found that one. Fine no big deal. But then another package went bad after 2 days of being open and properly stored/ I’m hoping this is just a random bit of bad luck and that it is still a solid product and that Walmart is storing and handling the product properly! Food is too expensive these days to have waste!
I've sought and bought extra firm tofu from several reputable stores in the past, and the tofu is usually a still a bit soft or has a plastic-like sheen and falls apart. However, this tofu is extremely firm, very easy to handle, it doesn't requires pressing. Just slice and either marinate, fry, or crush it for added flavor in soups. This is the best tofu I've ever found in a regular grocery store.
not sure why people downgrading because they don't like super firm tofu, it literally says super firm in the title? but anyway, yes 5/5 - the best tofu that I've tried to cook with personally, I love that its super firm and doesnt crumble up in whatever I'm cooking it with.
This is the best/easiest to use tofu I've ever purchased. It just needs wiped off with a paper towel or something and then can be sliced up and cooked without pressing. I just slice it up and toss the pieces in dry spices in a bowl, then air fry them without oil for 9 minutes @ 330 degrees. They come out perfect for noodle dishes, etc.
