The quality of the toy is nice; however I think it is dangerous for children as young as 18 months as so many pieces can fit into their mouths. Perhaps they are too big to swallow, but who wants to take the chance on a blocked airway?

I use this in OT with preschoolers. They love sorting the realistic looking foods using the tongs to pick up pieces and sort them into the corresponding bowls. Its a little difficult for some of them to pick up the noodles with the tongs, but you can hold the noodles up for them to grab them.

I got this for a friend's daughter for her 2nd birthday. They are just making the transition into being a vegetarian family, so I LOVE that the stir fry food included is all veggies! Very cute gift and a good deal for the price. :)
