Next 26" Ladies Avalon Bicycle

I am very pleased with the Avalon bike, and extra happy that a bike assembler at the store put it together! It's perfect for cruising to work (5 miles) although I had a flat from a tumbleweed thorn the third trip, not the bike's fault! The seat is easily adjustable... and after my flat is repaired I am looking forwad to 10 miles a day a few days a week!

I got this for general riding. I'm not trying to become the next Lance, just wanted to get out more this summer, and be outdoors. This bike works great. They built it at the store for me, and told me to bring it back, should I need any adjustments made. It's great, no problems. Not much of a bike pro, so couldn't tell you what to look for other than if rides well or not. It does. I really enjoy it, and would recommend it to my own friends, and am glad I went with this one. I really like that the handles are higher than the seat, so it doesn't bother my back.

I like the ease of use of this bike. It has been several years since I have been on a bicycle, and I have found this bike easy to re-learn to ride! I found the seat somewhat comfy, but could use more padding! I bought a gel pad to put on top of it, but the bike seat is bigger than the gel pad, so it doesn't fit!

I didn't find this bike to be as good as the reviews I read. My pedal and brakes broke within three weeks of riding. I fully expected this bike to live up to the quality of an expensive bike, because of the rave reviews. But I found mine to be noisy and just close to breaking all the time. My tires couldn't keep air in them either. Anyhow, after riding a good quality expensive bike, I don't think I'll make the same mistake twice.

I like the fact this product has dual suspension and also some in the seat, However for a street / comfort bike it is a little heavy and cumbersome. The brakes are a littel soft but can be adjusted. For the price I would have expected a few more gears (it only has 7).
