Super product & non-toxic, which I consider important for long term use of products. It is the first treatment that has really addressed my horse's deep sulcus thrush. The thrush cleared quickly & with continued use, the sulcus is gradually changing into a more normal shape.
My horse has always been prone to thrush, and the wet wisconsin weather does not help. Ove tried many different concoctions to help his thrush, but none seemed to work. His heels became so sore just from constant thrush and wet conditions, my farrier suggested I put bleach on his feet but that didn't sound right. I then found this product, which has transformed his feet! It is a little hard to use at first but I quickly got the hang of puffing the powder onto his feet. His heels are hardly sore at all, and he feet are finally free of thrush, even through all the mud we have had. I also used it on a bout of scratches he had and no joke they were gone the next day! Great company, american made, and great products that I recommend to everyone!
I just recently bought this product and began using it. I've been battling some thrush and soft frogs on my horse's feet for some time now and came upon this product. One of their selling points is that it can help harden up the frogs so I figured why not try it, price is decent enough. At first I wasn't big on the whole powder thing but after I used it, I prefer the powder! It gets in deep into all the crevices and unlike all the liquid thrush ones I've used, it doesnt run off or sting my guy. I haven't had problems with it not sticking. Instead of the hoof pick brush I use a paint brush as its softer and smaller and allows me to spread it in the areas I want. I personally think that the hoof pick brush is too rough and will just brush away the powder, hence the paint brush. I apply it when my guy comes in from the field. I can't really say if its effective or not as I just started using it, but I like the component, application and their claims. We'll see if it helps! Hopefully I can come back with an update after a few weeks of using it.
So my mare had bad thrush and horrible frogs when I got her a year ago. With consent use it cleared the thrush and has even repaired the some of the deep crevices she had in her frog and heel bulb. I've noticed some people have had a hard time using this product. What I do is I shake the bottle to loosen the powder, then I tap it on the bottom of my horse's hoof. That gets it in the area I want it to go. Then I take my hoof brush and rub it in a lil bit all over the bottom of her hoof. Then I have her set her foot down gently. Now I do still make a lil bit of a mess on occasion, but nothing like I did with liquids. It does have a different smell to it, but I'd rather smell that Oregeno than thrush!! I high recommend this product as treatment and preventive. Just use it once a week for prevention.
I've been using this product since early January, and I must say, I am happy with how it works! When my pony starts to get a bit thrushy, I just apply the powder, and then job done! It does a good job at clearing the thrush, and it works well as a preventative as well. My farrier complimented my pony's hooves after the use of No Thrush on them. Since it is a powder, sometimes it is tricky to apply, but once you get the hang of using it, it does become easy.
