There was no one to help me set up my new phone! Employees in electronics are so rude and not helpful at all. Only one phone for me to purchase. been without a phone for 2 weeks.
Great entry level phone! I love the size of the device and the screen is really easy to see! Very thin and comfortable to hold with a solid and really high quality feel to it. The back is very nice and has a nice slightly textured feel to it. The camera is really nice and takes great pictures and videos plus the speaker is really loud so you can watch movies without needing headphones! The C300 is entry level so it is a bit slow, especially when "waking up" after being in your pocket for a while. Sometimes if you try to do too many things at once, it can be a bit glitchy with audio playback. I wouldn't try intense gaming like racing but puzzle games are fine. Overall, a really good entry level phone that I will be using for a long time plus Nokia offers really good OS and Security updates!
I have been using this phone for 2-3 weeks now. My last phone was a Nokia G50, but I cracked the screen. As a replacement the C300 isn't exactly the same but there are some things I like better. First, the C300 is a little bit smaller and I love that. The trend has been for phones to just keep getting bigger, and they are just so big they are cumbersome and don't fit in the pocket. The C300 is slimmer and lighter as well, yet it still has great battery life. Definitely 2 days plus a little more with my usual use. If you play on it all day, it's probably not going to make it to the end of the second day. The C300 is a little bit slower waking up when you get it out of your pocket, and when you first open an app you're going to have to wait a few seconds before it's ready to use. Once in an app it operates well, though sometimes starting a video can have a delay of 1-2 seconds. Just be patient, and it's fine. The camera has regular and telephoto lenses and operates well. I love that Nokia continues to provide plain, unadorned Android OS, version 12 in this phone, with guaranteed updates. I hate paying premium prices for phones or the highway robbery carriers charge for "free" phones with 2 years of monthly payments, so getting an unlocked phone at a reasonable price that does everything you need is a good thing, and this C300 from Nokia fills the bill.
I have been a Nokia owner for as long as I have had a cell phone, which goes back to 1999. I live in a mountainous state and when I was getting my first Nokia phone, I was told it was the best brand for where I live because of it having "better than average" signal strength. I found to be true. Now to this phone. I found the video quality to be much better than I expected for a phone in this price point. The call quality on Wi-fi is great and I didn't lose signal switching from Wi-Fi to cellular. Pictures taken with the 13mp.camera are really good for this price point also. It feels good in your hands and the texture of it makes it easy to hold. The snapdragon octa-core processor makes multitasking easy, plus the battery lasts all day watching a mixture of videos and surfing. I would recommend this phone.
Overall I think that this is a great mid-range smartphone. The phone itself is lightweight yet has a solid build and size and feels good in the hand, as is not too bulky. The back of the phone is slightly textured and has a bit of a metalic look to it and the camera design on the back is stylish and appealing. Like other Nokia devices, it is set up with google so its really easy to get it personalized and upload/download anything from/to your google account. Setup was quick and easy and can be personalized with minimal effort for those familiar with Android. Setting up biometrics was easy as well and the fingerprint reader worked as intended and unlocked the phone without having to move my finger around too much. Apps on the phone have been working fine without any glitches and they load quickly. I did notice a slight lag when there are several things opened at once as well as when scrolling too quickly, but that's to be expected on a mid-range device. The camera works well and did not have any noticeable lag to it. Photos came out crisp and videos were clear. The microphone picked up sound well and the photos and videos were able to be played back and viewed in good quality on the device. The speakers are also good and I could hear everything clearly. When playing music on the phone the sound comes out crisp and clear as well, although there isn't much bass that comes through. For the most part, I used this as a work phone so I downloaded Slack and used gmail and texts and phone calls. I also used a couple of company apps on it and Google authenticator. Overall I can say that the phone was perfect for what I needed. The sound was clear when I had calls or for huddles in Slack and I had no issues with texting or sending messages. The apps that I use for work all run fine on the phone without any lag and photos and videos could be shared with ease. I think that this phone is good as a work phone or it would be great for a teenager who needs a device to keep in touch with family but that won't be bogged down with tons of apps. There is a slot for a microSD card so that photos and videos don't slow it down but I mostly just used cloud storage to keep the device clean and fast. The battery is also great, as I charged it on the 31st of July and plugged it in for an hour on the 3rd and now its the 8th of August and its down to 15%. Overall, I was using the phone for about 3 total hours each day so the battery seems to be good quality with a long life, that might be different for people who use it more in the day. I would definitely recommend this phone for anyone looking for an inexpensive yet reliable mid-range phone. Its easy to navigate, has useful features, and has a stylish design that makes it a great phone choice. That, combined with the price-point and you can't go wrong with the Nokia C300.
