NUK Evolution Straw Cup, 8 oz., 2-Pack

I just bought this last night and my LO was getting frustrated with it. I tried and I couldn't get anything out of it. I checked the straw and when the lid was off it worked but when I put the lid back on it stopped working. If I leave the lid only partially screwed on it will still work, but then my LO figured out how to unscrew it and poured water all over himself. It was a fairly spendy item and I really didn't find it worth the $$. I bought this one specifically because it had a straw that went all the way to the bottom and he prefers not to tip up his cups.

I always buy nuk. I was raised on nil products in Europe and when having my own kids mom suggested this brand and I always stuck with nuk everything for my 2 kids, I have just purchased the new straw evolution cup and it seems that the straw has some sort of blockage and as I read thru I see people have this problem often. Is this something that can be fixed on my own. Again I love ur products this is my first time dealing with a negative outcome

Just bought this for my son, who loves drinking with straws, but after he and I both tried, no liquid is coming up through the straw. Seems like a problem others have had, but I haven't seen a clear explanation for where to cut a hole to make it work.

I bought this cup for my 16 month old who loves drinking out of straws. Once we washed it we filled it with her water but could not get anything out. Is there something that we're missing?? We have other Nuk items and we love them, we're just very disappointed with this cup

I bought this cup for the second time and because I thought my last didn't work due to my own errors, I tried the new one, myself, directly from the store before dissembling and cleaning (gross, but I HAD to know). It does not have any way for liquid to flow through. I'm not sure if it's a design flaw or a factory defect which has rendered these straws useless. I've looked over the silicone connecter and it's closed off on the bottom end where it goes down into the plastic straw piece. I feel like I need to make a slit or hole in it but don't want to do anything to it, if I'm paying for a defective cup that was shipped out like that by the manufacturer. Then I could be held responsible for the reason why it doesn't work. I've never been disappointed by the many NUK products my son has used in the past. That is, until now. Two cups that are useless and money that's been wasted. Lame.
