Orajel 4x Medicated for Toothache-Gum Cream, 0.33 oz (Pack of 2)

After buying the generic forms of Oragel for years I finally bought the name brand Oragel 4X and I couldn't be more disappointed than I am now writing this review while my mouth aches. Surprisingly, Oragel 4X doesn't even relieve the pain like the generic brands do. I absolutely feel no relief at all.

I never experience toothaches or pain, but after having a toothache for quite some time with no dentist available I became desperate for relief. I remember buying Orajel for my baby and was considering buying it again, but when I looked online I saw that Oragjel has certainly expanded. I figured since my toothache was bad enough (to me) I would go with the 4X Medicated cream. WOW! I immediately applied it to the pained area and the surrounding gum. I was taken aback by how intense the numbing was. The entire area, including my cheek and tongue were numb. The numbness lasted for a while and I felt immediate relief. Aside from the fact, that I thought I did something wrong or bought a clinical product I was so relieved that my pain had subsided. I applied it a few more times in different amounts on the area that day, not totaling more than 4. I woke up the next day and the pain was completely gone. I'm not sure how this Orajel helped, but all I know is that it worked- 100%!

I put a tiny line about a in long and literally within seconds no pain. I actually felt like I had just walked out of the dentist office from getting a cavity removed/filles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Orajel Instant Pain Relief Cream worked better than advertised. Instantly relieved toothache pain. Seemed to last for awhile too. I like the cream formula because it didn't drip like the gel or liquid.

I'm glad it has instant relief but that relief is gone in less than 5 minutes, then it's back to throbbing gum pain. For the price, very underwhelmed.
