I have had issues with my gums, this tooth brush was not as soft as I would have liked

If ur like me with an extremely soft sensitive mouth that even so called soft brushes cause pain do not buy. This is a wire brush, terrible, hard, stiff, rough, just bad. Cut and bled me the first time. This is ultra soft? On what planet?!!!

Maybe I brushed a little too energetically, but this toothbrush tore my gums to shreds. I often buy cheap toothbrushes, even the 6 for $1 brand, and I rarely have any brushing problems. Maybe it's the concentration of bristles compacted into a small area that puts more pressure on sensitive areas, but I wouldn't rate the, as extra soft. I realize I'm supposed to be brushing my teeth, but it's impossible to remove plaque without brushing softly along the gum area, and these brushes aren't any softer than other brands. $4.97 for 2 is very reasonable, but I don't see much value in this 2-pack. Your experience might be different, however.
