ORE International Mahogany Wood Stackable Shoe Rack, Walnut

Since this was reasonably priced I assumed it would be of average weight and appearance. The structure is attractive and perfect for my entry way. The wood color is better than expected.

This product is sturdy and easily holds 6 pairs of adult shoes and fits conveniently in an alcove or mud room. It is attractive with simple design and saves on space. No addtional clutter of shoes lying all around.

But if you don't look closely at it, the cherry finish looks just fine. As other reviewers have noted, the actual quality of the wood is low, but there's really no problem at all putting it together. It consists of four piece of wood, four screws and 4 dowels - and the dowels don't even go anywhere unless you plan to expand to other levels - so there's no wood glue involved. My major gripe would be cost - four screws, four dowels and four pieces of wood - this should be about twenty bucks tops, even with packaging, but overall it's not a terrible value. I've owned three other shoe racks - and while the others have appeared more solid, this one looks better - and let's face it - you don't expect to sit on it or pile more than 6-8 pairs of shoes on it - so it doesn't exactly have to be load-bearing.

Although this is meant for a shoe rack, we needed a printer stand to put under a desk. It is perfect as a printer stand on the floor, and matches the cherry wood desk and bookcases in the room!

I bought this for my millions of shoes. my wife and i combined have quite a collection, so i was hoping that it would fit half (or at least some) of our shoes. we did not see any cracks, splinters, or cheap looking wood. it looks really great actually. lots of bad reviews, but i think it just depends which one you get. ours wasn't hard to put together at all. the instructions were basic, but it was relatively simple. i love that you can stack the shoe racks though. the only complaint i have is that it doesn't fit many Men's shoes. it fits about 6 pairs of men's shoes on top and bottom if the shoes are side-by-side. otherwise, it's a great product.
