Ortega Mild Fire Roasted Whole Green Chiles, Kosher, 27 oz

Unknowingly, I moved cross country, to a Mexican food desert. The local stores have a limited supply of ingredients necessary to make my favorite dishes. After much research, I found these chiles available on line from Walmart, for a reasonable price and I picked up a few cans. These are the mild version, which are perfect for chile rellenos, and other dishes which don't call for additional heat! Now, all I have to do is find a source for the Hot variety. Thanks again, Walmart!

After finding large cans of whole green chilies at a reasonable price, I ordered six to be delivered. All of the cans were bent because they weren't packaged well enough. None were split open, but Walmart needed to put more packing materials inside to prevent the cans from hitting each other and bending.

6 of 7 cans were received dented so badly that they could not be opened with an electric can opener and are unusable. Box was not damaged and packing consisted of one torn length of Pregis plastic bag.

The service and variety of Walmart goes over and above. I have been trying to get another brand that was unavailable, so I tried this brand I am very satisfied and will continue to shop at Walmart. Thank you for the great service.

These are the greatest tasting chilies ever. So versatile and can be used from anything from ortega burgers to chili rellenos. I've used others when I couldn't find these and let me tell you, there's no comparison. The others were vinegar tasting or just too salty. Ortega chili taste like chili. Compare for yourself. if you want authentic Mexican tasty dishes then use these. I totally recommend this product.
