Park Plaza Bird Cage, Cocoa Hammertone

I bought this cage 10 years ago. I put it together within a few hours. My green cheek conure loved it. But, it's gotten all rusty!! I had to trash it. Rust is toxic to birds.

I leave the door open all the time when I'm home, but my parakeets love their new spacious home so much they rarely want to come out! Good quality, easy to put together, and great price!

Awesome cage. Super sturdy and high quality. Easy to assemble and easy to clean. My 2 budgies love it and have lots of room to fly from perch to perch. My only complaint is that I wish it came with more than 1 perch. But I was able to cut the perches from the last cage to fit.

The Park Plaza Bird Cage has some attractive attributes, including a range of colors. The bar weight/spacing is suitable for use with budgies. I ordered this cage to give my parakeets a place to stretch their wings. A bright yellow 90-Day Warranty card is included with Pet Prevue products. It instructs customers to reach out to the manufacturer vs. the retailer with any product problems, questions or concerns. Unfortunately, I feel obligated to leave this review as a word of warning that if you are unfortunate enough to require post-sale support, Prevu Pet Products does not have your back. In addition to a very, very stiff hinge that made the door hard to open, the cage I received contained sharp corners on the upper door frame and the top front — areas that should have been safe for my birds to play while outside the cage but were not. I wrote the manufacturer within 48 hours of receipt to inquire about a replacement door panel for my cage. I thought this would be straightforward since all the issues were limited to the one panel/part. But after troubling me to send photos of the issue, the manufacturer, without further explanation, suggested I dissemble the entire cage, repack it and return it — after which they suggested I reorder a new bird cage. I did not find it appropriate to request that I dissemble the entire cage, repack it in a torn carton and attempt to return it at my own time/expense (i.e. back to Square One). In a reply, I pointed out that given the sharp edges and corners, I was afraid to start all over again with a replacement for fear of ending up with new parts problems. Since pet safety is at stake — a risk of cutting a foot while sitting on the door or cage top — I didn't see a reason why Prevue Pet Products would ultimately refuse to honor the warranty. This company not only failed to honor their warranty, they failed to care about the safety of the pets for which their entire business depends.

Our two cockatiels love their cage. Good value. I love the stainless steel bowls. Easy to put together. The casters work great. Not noisy and the cage glides across our wooden floors. Very impressed with how quickly it came.
