Nasal Decongestant, Cough Suppressant, Expectorant 12 fl oz (355 ml) Clears nasal stuffiness. Controls coughs. Loosens and relieves chest congestion. Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation and nasal congestion as may occur with a cold. Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive. Follow dosage below. Dosage cup provided. Do not exceed 6 doses in a 24-hour period. Adult dose (and children 12 yrs and over): 2 teaspoonfuls (tsp) every 4 hrs. Child dose 6 yrs to under 12 yrs: 1 teaspoonful (tsp) every 4 hrs. 2 yrs. to under 6 yrs: 1/2 teaspoonful (tsp) every 4 hrs. Under 2: consult your doctor. Do not take this product for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or if cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a physician. Likewise, if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, diabetes, or difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, do not take this product, unless directed by a physician. Do not exceed recommended dosage. If nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occur, discontinue use and consult a doctor. A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough or other symptoms persists, do not improve within 7 days, tend to recur, or are accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, consult a physician.
