I received this product free in exchange for a review. I was concerned about the transition to the bottle with my infant daughter but I didn't have any issues with the transition with the Avent bottle. She took the bottle with ease and never experienced gas, excess spitting-up, or difficulty latching. This was a surprise to me because I had issues transitioning both my sons while using different brands of bottles. Not sure if it was luck but this bottle definitely worked for us! Also, it is BPA-free which is a major plus.
Since this is our second child we have plenty of bottles, but I did agree to sample this product in exchange for my personal review. We had purchased Philips Avent products 5 years ago, and I was curious to see what improvements have been made during that time period. The biggest difference I found was the quality of the plastic used in the nipple. Previously, the plastic would immediately become opaque after a few cycles through the dishwasher, this newer version has held up remarkably well after a week of heavy use. Since this was a free sample, I tried to purposefully damage one of the bottles, but even stepping on it didn`t cause a problem to the bottle itself. Similar to the older Avent products we have used, this was very easy to clean, comfortable to hold, and formed a tight seal so that no liquid escaped during feeding. I was told to purchase Philips Avent products 5 years ago, and I would strongly echo that suggestion today.
I received this 11oz Classic+ bottle as a free sample in exchange for my review. I am extremely happy with Philips Avent Classic+ bottle. I have found that it doesn't leak, as long as you pull the nipple through the ring appropriately and hear the click or pop sound. There is no adapter ring so this model has fewer parts. The nipple that came with the bottle is a 3m+ (medium flow) and seemed odd to my son at first, but he didn't seem to mind it as long as he was getting his milk. He's down to one bottle a day, just before bedtime, and we normally use either the 9oz Philips Natural style glass or 9oz Natural polypropylene (plastic), which is probably why my son was a little hesitant at first with this nipple style. He didn't seem gassy or frustrated after using this bottle, so I believe this one is comparable to the Natural style. I really like the extra liquid capacity of this bottle compared to the 9oz Natural line of bottles though. I LOVE that it's compatible with all of the parts to the Avent Penguin Sippy Cup! It's also compatible with the breast pump. Overall, I think this is a great product and would definitely use this for our next baby that comes along.
Loved these bottles bottles with my first born 10 years ago! Only bottle he would drink! Bought these again for my second baby and I still love them, just leak everywhere! Especially if you don't have the ring in it. Too many parts to keep track of for the baby sitter I guess and I have a soaked baby. Not to mention when she drinks a bottle in the car and she drops it, I have milk all over my seats! Like I said I love the bottle just wished they didn't leak everywhere!
