Philips Avent Orthodontic Pacifier, 6-18 Months - 2 Counts

I received the Avent Pacifiers as a sample to review. Overall, I was impressed with the pacifiers. My son, however, was not one to take a pacifier. I will say, though, that he did prefer the Avent brand over the other 2 brands I have purchased for him. The size of the nipple is appropriate for a newborn (0-3+) size. Others I have purchased made him gag as they were far to big for his mouth. I liked that the product was scent free. That may seem like a strange comment, but some brands do have scents and my newborn seemed to have an aversion to those as well. (not Avent) Only con: the item became foggy when I initially boiled them. My water is filtered, so I`m not sure why that happened, but I was able to clean them again (handwash) with a bottle brush and the cloudiness went away.

I want to start by saying that I received a free sample in exchange for writing this review, BUT I've actually used these pacifiers with my older son for 2 years. These were his absolute favorite! He was always pretty picky with which pacifiers he would take, and he really liked these a lot. I really like that they are clear, and so it seemed less visible, and they matched everything he wore. I'm not a fan of pacifiers with pictures and sayings, but that's just my preference. The ONLY negative to these is that since they are clear, they are very hard to find once your child drops them in the yard. They blend in with the grass really well. (I guess you could get the colored ones, and that wouldn't be a problem). Other than that, these are awesome pacifiers.

I received a free sample of the Philips Avent Pacifier to try out the product. The pacifier is very simple in design and of clear color. The nipple is firm yet flexible and easy to handle. I enjoyed the flat shape which made it easy for my baby to keep the pacifier inside her mouth and move it around. One negative side is that because of the translucent color of the product, I found it hard to find when it fell on the floor.

I was given this product for free to review. My daughter has never liked pacifiers. i think its because she's breastfed. I tried this one and she really didnt deal with it. she played with it in her mouth but quickly realized that it wasnt boob and she was uninterested. she is teething now and use it to bite on from time to time.

I was given the opportunity to test and review these Philips Avent Translucent Clear Newborn pacifiers. I appreciate the simple design of these pacifiers and that they are soft for my newborn; however she did not seem to prefer this wide tip over the more narrow design of the Soothie. Overall, it is simple, comes with a nice little lid that you can use to protect the nipple in the diaper bag, and is soft for baby. If she liked it, I would probably buy more! I would suggest this pacifier to some of my mommy friends.
