When I got pregnant with my daughter I automatically just bought the same brand of pacifiers my son used, thinking she would like those, boy was I wrong! After receiving these to try as the weeSpring Parent Panel I was skeptical, thinking my baby who previously wouldn't take any pacifiers, probably wouldn't take these either. Boy was I wrong again!! These are the only pacifiers my picky baby will use. I love the new ultra air design as it allows more air to flow to their sensitive face, especially at a super drooly time like teething! They even come with this special carrying case that makes it easier to find in your diaper bag and won't just get lost at the bottom. I typically like to just boil my pacifiers, but with the carrying case you can even put them in the microwave and sanitize them! Definitely recommend these for even the pickiest non-pacifier babies.
My little guy just turned 7 months old, and we've been trying to transition him to age-appropriate orthodontic pacifiers for about a month. His first few teeth have recently come through, so we wanted to make this happen as soon as possible. We initially tried another recommended brand, but it was pretty hit or miss. Sometimes he would take it, and other times he seemed to gag or repeatedly spit it out. Then we received the Philips Avent Ultra Air Pacifiers. They came in a convenient clear case that doubles as a sterilizer, and the designs were cute and on trend (my favorite is the "hello" design). Upon receiving them, I washed them and then sterilized using some water and the plastic case. The process was pretty easy and straightforward. I definitely loved the convenience! Then came the moment of truth: I presented my little man with one of the pacifiers and... he took it right away! There was no gagging or immediate spitting out. He's been using them for about a week now and he loves them. He is still a teething baby, so he tends to play with the pacifiers and chew on the plastic parts from time to time, but they soothe him better than the other orthodontic pacifiers we tried. Since he is teething pretty hard these days, the amount of drool flowing from our tiny human is never-ending. The drool that was getting trapped under his other pacifiers was causing a little bit of a rash on his chin, but the vents on these seemed to help a bit. The rash hasn't completely disappeared, but it's definitely better than it was; his skin also seems drier than it does when he's not using a pacifier. I will say that the vent holes could stand to be a little larger (maybe by making the center piece smaller), but that's a pretty minor complaint. Plus, we've finally been able to get rid of the not-so-orthodontic pacifiers he had previously adored, so these are definitely a winning product for us. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing us with these pacifiers!
My son just turned one, and we always like to try new brands of pacifiers since they tend to get lost so easily, even at home! I am a fan of Philips Avent since my son uses bottles by this brand, so I am familiar with their quality. The Philips Avent Ultra Air Pacifier is now my favorite for a variety of reasons. First, when I wash them with soap and water, the water doesn't get inside the bulb of the pacifier like I have seen with other brands. Also, if you ever notice that your little one gets chapped and red around their lips when using a pacifier, that hasn't been my experience with this design. The pacifier actually has a matte texture which keeps my baby's skin drier, and in my experience is unique to this pacifier. It also has breathable air holes while other pacifiers are one solid piece. While my baby is not picky and he accepted this pacifier like any other, as a mom I definitely prefer it over other models. Even the blue and turquoise color scheme can definitely be unisex, which is nice for gift giving and gender neutral registries. I like that these pacifiers come in a set of two inside a small carrying case, which is convenient for a diaper bag and carting back and forth to day care or any other activity. The carrying case can even be used to sterilize the pacifiers. Many thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this pacifier in exchange for my honest review.
I was given this Pacifier to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I wish I could say my little one liked these pacifiers because the design was nice, including the way the pacifier was shaped to fit in his mouth. But that is the very thing I think he didn't like. His first pacifier was shaped without significant curves. When I gave him this one, he gave me a disgusted face and only played with it in his hands before he threw it. I like how the two pacifiers fit in a box for transportation, but I'm not sure I would use the box for sanitation. I can just as easily sanitize them with his bottles.
