Philips Avent Ultra Soft Pacifier, 0-6 Months, Blue/Teal, 2 Pack, SCF212/20

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only pacifier my granddaughter can use, all others give her a rash.

I was very happy when I first tried these pacifiers. After the 0-3 month soothie, I was having a hard time finding a pacifier my son would take until this one. He actually loved this one. My only issue is that when I went to sterilize it I realized that water was getting trapped in the nipple after sterilizing and after my son was using it, which is a concern due to possible mold/bacteria growth. I even went and bought another pack just in case the first ones I bought were defective, but they did the same thing.

I'm not sure if it's because we waited 6 weeks to introduce a pacifier to our little girl, or just because she is picky, but we tried well over 6 different brands and styles before finding this gem. She absolutely loves the ultra soft feel and will ONLY use this one! We had to stock up because our dog also loves this pacifier :) If you have a picky little one, give this one a try, it's totally worth it!!!

With my third child,I had gone though every pacifier available, even ordering some online. I had started out with Avent's regular pacifier, like I did with my other two kids and they loved them, but my new baby was so picky and I couldn't find a pacifier to suit her. Then finally when she was 10 weeks old, I decided to give these a try. I had gotten them as a baby shower gift, but hadn't realized the nipple was textured and not smooth like the other Avent pacifiers I had offered her. And she finally took a pacifier! She is exclusively breastfed and I needed her to have a pacifier because many times “I “was her pacifier and was returning to work and knew her having one would make her more content. Thank you Avent for making this new pacifier with the textured nipple! That's all it took for her to accept it. It has been a lifesaver. She went from sleeping only a few hours at night to sleeping 6-7 hours because she was being soothed by her pacifier and not me! Now I hope you will make them with designs like all your other pacifiers because they're so cute! Love the soft shield as well, just some different colors and designs would be awesome too.Also hope to see you add a plastic cover to snap over pacifier nipple like your other pacifiers have, that was always one of my favorite features of Avent pacifiers. Disappointed this one doesn't have that. Huge germaphobe and love the extra protection that provided. Thank you for another great product!
