Plugra Premium European Style Unsalted Butter, 8 oz Solid

The product had a rich and creamy taste. In fact it reminded me of butter I ate as a child in England. I also like the packaging. Until I looked closely, I thought it was a European product, which to me signifies quality. I wouldn't however, buy at this price point. Nearly twice the cost of normal butter.

I normally purchase salted butter because most butters have zero flavor. Even when recipes call for unsalted butter, I have used salted. Plugra unsalted butter had clear buttery flavor without needing enhancement from the salt. It was dense enough to hold its shape after being unrefrigerated for a few hours, but pliable enough to easily spread. The only drawback would be that it comes in one whole 8 ounce/1 cup portion. It does have markings for measuring after you open the first flap.

Plugra butter is fantastic, ideal for eating and baking, Very easy to spread, because it has a great texture and excellent flavor, delicious to eat on top of a piece of toasted bread or excellent source to make a delicious dessert. I totally recommend this product.

It has a slightly sweet taste and is easy to cut into. My only critique is that it is not very spreadable, even when I gave it time to warm up a little after being refrigerated. Despite this, I enjoyed the taste and it appears to be of higher quality.

I like this butter. It's not so hard that you struggle scraping off some butter straight out of the fridge. Since it's unsalted, I'd probably use it for cooking more than I would on toast, bagels, etc just due to the flavor profile, but I wouldn't complain if it were on toast; it still tastes good. I appreciate that even though it's not sized like a traditional stick of butter, the wrapper still has sizing marks to make it easy to cook with.
