He was really intrigued by the paintbrush because he's never had a set of colored pencils that has included one before. The colors are vibrant as is, without the water added. I didn't notice a drastic difference using the water, but my son did seem to enjoy the whole process.

You can wet the brush and go over the art and it gives it a water painting look. With children you have to watch the amount of water in the brush because it can get messy. Overall I liked it and my son did too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pencils are just about the most fun thing ever! I gave them to my 6 year-old daughter as a birthday gift. She loves drawing and painting and this little kit is the best of both worlds. All you have to do is draw with the colored pencils, then get a bit of water and use the brush to blend out the colors. The result is a beautiful watercolored looking piece of art! My daughter and I both approve of this product!!
