The cooking surface is just a bit larger than an 8x10 photo, and fits four slices of bagged wide pan bread. It heats up evenly and quite quickly for a 1000 watt appliance. I made grilled cheese sandwiches that toasted the bread very nicely at the 300° setting. I only wish there was a heat tempered glass lid for this griddle that would fit its dimensions---currently searching for one that's affordably priced. Also appreciated is the fact that its nonstick surface is free of the usual toxic coatings that were once so common.

This is the 3rd Liddle Griddle by Presto I have purchased over a 15 year period. The non-stick coating will wear out if it get almost daily use as it does in my house (sometimes twice a day). I keep buying the same model as it heats up fast and has very even heat.

I have a very small kitchen, and this griddle is just the right size for it. It was really easy to put together. Putting on the handles (which you will need to do first) was very easy. It had instructions on how to attach them. The cooking surface is 9 inches x 10 3/4 inches. I bought it to make many of the usual meals like eggs, potatoes, French toast, fish, burgers, and vegetables plus anything else I can think of since I have a lot of cookbooks to refer to. Clean up is real easy too. The nonstick cooking surface is so much better than the pan I was using. Everything seemed to stick to that pan and now I don't have to worry about that anymore. I'm glad I got it.
