RCA - Tablet - Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) - 8 GB - 9" TFT (800 x 480) - microSD slot - black

I've got this item for my granddaughter for Christmas. I read the review and checked out a lot of tablet's before getting this on. I've always like RCA items but this 9" tablet is really bad. I've had to exchange it twice now and the one she has now has to go back also#the third one#. Just like the other people it doesn't charge or turn on with in a month. The one she has now #I just received a email from RCA to send it to the repair dept and they will fix it, but it will take 3-4weeks to fix, and I will be paying for shipping. it's a nice tablet and works well when working. I did email RCA and let them know these tablets should be recalled ASAP. these 9' tablets are the only ones that seem to be having this issues. I did get my son the 7' RCA table for Christmas and his is just fine. Very heart broke about this tablet and I would not recommend this one to anyone unless RCA recalled all tablets and fix the flaw in the tablet. Walmart should stop selling these this is a BAD PRODUCT.

This is all my son wanted for his 14th birthday. This product was terrible from the beginning. Less than a week after receiving it, the charger would not work. We had to get a replacement for it. Then in less than a month after we received the tablet it quit working TOTALLY. Am in the process of trying to get a refund or at least a replacement. Will not buy RCA again.

Since I don't have any experience with any other tablet my review may not be worth much but here goes. This is my first tablet and I didn't want to spend much money in case I didn't like it. I have an iPhone so I have connection to the internet every where I go and a camera. I wanted something with a larger screen without having to take my laptop when I travel. It was very easy to set up. I am not any kind of techno person so it is important to me to make it easy. I really didn't expect much because of the price but I really do like it. Some of the things that aren't good : the camera does only face front and isn't really very good. I haven't Skyped with it yet. It does take nice screen shots which I like. The speaker isn't very loud or maybe my old ears aren't very good. I use my ear buds and then I hear the movies I watch on Netflix just fine. I have also watched show from the cbs app. The Google play store is new to me and I was disappointed that some of the apps that I have on my iPhone don't work on the table. Oh Well. For not knowing anything about tablets I think the other reviews helped me make a good choice. My significant other, for whom I bought this, is very happy with it. He has set up programs and apps and carries it around where ever he goes, including work. My intentions were that I would be able to use it too, but so far I haven't been able to get my hands on it. I think it's safe to say I will probably be buying a second one for myself.

I purchased this for my grandchildren as a beginner tablet. I was surprised how nice and easy it was to set up and begin using. Downloading was great. Light weight, easy to use, great graphics, good battery life, easy to navigate...I haven't found problems so far.
