Fist the hose would not connect to the tank. I trimmed all the extra plastic off and finally got it on. Then the shut off trigger does not work. Sprays constantly. Lost all my contents.
This is as fine a 2 gallon sprayer as money can buy at a stupid low price (under $10 ) for an american made sprayer that WILL last 5 or more years if used and maintained well. 1) keep O ring and rim clean - water wash and dry tank parts after every use. 2) never Seal or Store tank with dirt or debris in tank or around the rim & seal. 3) Gently tighten seals just enough to prevent leakage and no more,O ring and tank rim wont deform and it will be easier to seal for a longer time. 4)you can get O rings at auto or hardware stores, ahead of time and change seal often, prevents tightening down harder and harder over time, which eventually crushes the seal & deforms the rim permanently so no matter what you do,the O ring and lip of tank leak. 5)cover sprayer when out of use for a long time, save old parts as they are often interchangeable, they may come in handy as repair parts later. 6)I worked at an oil refinery,so i know about flowmaster quality,so if you see it inexpensive too,get it!
It worked ok initially. However, the pressure release cap got stuck in closed position even after releasing all the pressure. I went as far as disconnecting and removing the wand and the pressure release cap still would not open. The plastic of the pressure release cap deformed and stripped off when I tried turning it open. If you leave this unit under the sun when outside temperature is 80-90F, the plastic softens and the seal deforms when you try to open it. I supposed that's what you get for $9.99.
It 'looked' like a nice sprayer so I bought one to have just in case my old one quit on me, but Luckily my old one is STILL working (5-years old) and here's why: THIS sprayer has THE FLIMSIEST hose/wand assembly I have EVER seen on a sprayer. I mixed my bug spray in it (Malathion) - Pumped it up - Not even 'tightly', and about mid-way the hose, there appeared a HUGE BULGE - a weak spot in the hose. So - I have to replace the hose. A good hose cost me almost as much as THIS SPRAYER. Then the 'wand' - I understand it can't be 'real' good for that price, but COME-ON! SURELY you can do a tad better than THAT! It Leaked at EVERY Joint - so - Here I go Teflon-Taping everything, and THEN it FINALLY worked AS-EXPECTED. In the end I paid as much for this sprayer as I would have if I had bought one at the most expensive hardware store in town. Therefore - I really wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind taking the chance that you're going to have to replace MOST of it - OR unless you don't mind it leaking out all your expensive chemical...
Brand new sprayer work well . Next year will tell if it is still good .
