I absolutely loved working with the Derwent Inktense colored pencils I was chosen to review. The pencils lay down a muted textural richness unlike any other watercolor pencil I have ever used. I could have stopped there however, the addition of a little water on the tip of a brush makes the color bloom! The color is brilliant with incredible depth. I chose to keep some of the texture as I built my layers. I could have gone on forever building layer upon layer. A Very satisfying experience indeed.

Besides being lightfast, these colored pencils lay down soft and creamy and blend well with the other brands that I also use. They were a pleasure to use and I like that I don't have to use fixative to seal.
