Rubbermaid 1784462 FastTrack® Vertical Ball Rack

Like everyone else, I need new cords, but mine lasted several years in a really hot garage in South Florida before they broke. In general I really like the rack for storing sports balls and would buy it again, but hope I can find the replacement cords. It would be waste if they weren't available. I will call Rubbermaid directly. Hopefully they'll have them and they won't cost too much.

In theory this works. In reality, it broke after 1 month of use. Do not waste your money. Corrals balls fine, but if you hang it as it appears in the marketing photo, the completely normal activity of extracting and inserting event he small balls causes it to break. The design also allows it to scrape the wall, leaving marks on it. The apparatus separates from the wall attachment as a result of normal and expected use, even minimal use. Can't believe this design made it through QA/QC testing. There isn't even a screw to secure the lower corral to the wall attachments! It was just glued or welded - poorly might I add.

Own three of these balls racks and almost all of the rubber bands have now separated apart. I can't believe that Rubbermaid 1.) has known about this issue for years and continues to do nothing to correct it. 2.) doesn't offer the option to purchase a replacement part. Really appreciate the other reviewer's recommendation of a bungy cord.

After a year of use the bungee cord has dried out and you can see cracks on the rubber which made it snap. There is no replacement on this and you have to buy the entire rack. Looking at the other reviews here, it seems that it is a problem with the product.

I too bought the vertical ball rack with quality in mind for the money I spent and like many others am disappointed because within 2 days of use the bungee cord broke! Rubbermaid should come up with some other alternative cord to provide to its customers to fix this problem. I find this product useless and think it shouldn't be sold in retailers as a faulty product. I'm sure the commerce commission would be interested as I think it's a breach to consumers.
