Savoy Dairy-Free Coconut Cream, 13.5 fl oz Can

I have been buying this for several years and normally buy 10 to 20 cans at a time. The last two or three times we have bought this it is more like coconut milk than coconut cream. Have tried beating it to see if it would thicken however is stays runny. It's almost as if the cans are mislabeled or the wrong product put in the cream cans

I tried this because of all natural ingredients but find I dislike the coconut taste I still encounter in recipes. Thai Kitchen may include guar gum but there is no coconut taste in making a favorite mousse.

This stuff is delicious!!! Much thicker and tastier than all of the other brands. I used it in my Thai green curry, and red curry if I make that.

The key ingredient to my coconut shrimp recipe. Simply heat (slowly) in a pan until slightly thickened and then toss in freshly cooked egg noodles, cooked shrimp and flaked coconut. A great, quick meal that fills you up and is soooooo delicious. :P

I generally only use the cream part of the coconut milk, so I was excited to try this brand and finally just pay for what I wanted instead of throwing out a half a can of water. It is absolutely delicious, you will not be disappointed. It is, however, different from the cream that I'm accustomed to finding in most coconut milks -- much sweeter, fresher, and stronger in flavor. This is definitely a good thing, but one that I didn't anticipate or compensate for in my recipe. Next time I'm making thai curry with this coconut cream, I will omit my usual teaspoon of sugar. This cream doesn't need it.
