Bought several different brand/models of tubes for a recent tubing trip on a shallow, quiet river and this was the worst of the tubes. While it did not leak, puncture, or rip at the seams, the valves on this tube are NOT double locking (as advertised), and, they do NOT stay closed very well either. The valve is a bit strange compared to what you find on most inflatables, as the rubber feels a little bit harder (which means it doesn't hold shut very well), and the valve does NOT depress into itself like you would expect. That means it sticks out like a sore thumb, and pops open quite easily (and it popped open 4 times on our trip). Also, it has no reverse flap, meaning once it's open, the air deflates quickly (which admittedly was helpful at the end of the trip...if you can deal with blowing it back up during the trip, lol). For $10, I cannot complain much, however, do not use this in deep water unless you are a good swimmer and don't mind getting wet at the worst time.
I purchased 3 of these tubes and used them for floating down a lazy river for a few hours with friends. Its a good thing they each were double-tubed because one of the tubes burst on each of them while floating downstream. The weakest point is the air nozzle where the tubes are inflated. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
I purchased 4 of these tubes for floating in the river. On the box, the tubes are pictured as having air valves located on the top of the tubes. These air valves are actually located on the bottom of the tube. This makes a big difference, because while floating in the river, rocks would pull the valves open and the tubes would deflate. Poor quality, not accurately described.
Overpriced for what you get, and lacks a valve to prevent the air from escaping, or to prevent water from getting in!, when the cork is popped. With 3 kids in the pool, the cork seems to pop out far too easily. I wouldn't buy again.
I bought this product to take my kids tubing down a creek. It was a great buy for the money and the site to store shipping towards the late summer worked out great when no stores carried this type of product anymore.
