Shapley's Original M-T-G Horse Aid Skin Relief 8 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has relieved itching and sensitive skin areas. Her tail is fuller after one month.

I use this on my friesians mane, tail and feathers. This keeps the scratches at bay and helps to keep her hair growing long. I have been told some horses have issues with burns, so I apply it at night when she's in her box for quite a while. Baby oil can also cause burns too if they are put out in the sun with it on. This does smell pretty horrible though.

Someone at my barn gave me a bottle of this that they were no longer using. I didn't think much of it, but used it here and there on my horse's mane. I recently went on a nearly two week vacation, and when I came back, I found that my horse had iched the top of his tail completely bare! When I felt his tailbone, he moved his tail like it was reallyyyyy itchy and the skin was flaky and dry. I put M-T-G onto his dock, and saw results immediately. After one day, his skin wasn't itchy and dry anymore. After three weeks, there's so much hair growth that I can barely see the spot anymore. I have no idea what happened to make him itch like that, but I'm glad I've got a remedy!

I use MTG for just about everything. Want to condition mane and tail? MTG. Want to get rid of rain rot? MTG. Want to grow hair back from a previous wound? MTG. Itchy tail? MTG. Wanna keep "ice balls" from forming on the bottom of your horse's tail in the winter? MTG. Shiny mane and tail? MTG. Tail and mane growth? MTG. Mud scratches? MTG. This is a great product for a variety of skin issues. I have used it to treat rain rot as well as other skin fungus. I have also used it to help hair grow back in places where my horse has rubbed his hair off. It is very safe, which is a big plus for me. It's only downside is that it doesn't smell good. However, they also sell one which is supposed to smell better (but I haven't tried it).
