My pediatrician recommended this for my 6w old. She didn't spit up much but had silent reflux, and was just miserable. She isn't as miserable now, and doesn't have the reflux, but she is SO GASSY. and she barely poops now! I'm going to talk to the doctor again about switching to a different Similac, cuz poor little one is miserable farting ALL day lol. The product did what it said tho! And yes it clogged all my doctor brown bottles and nipples, I have to use Philips Avent bottles size 2 nipple for her to drink it. It's a little fast coming out but she handles it. Any other bottle clogs real bad idk why. And it is rather foamy maybe that is causing the gas?? But I still will always recommend Similac!
Baby #4 is our first baby to not handle Similac Sensitive she was still spitting up so much that she dropped weight in percentile so our pediatrician recommended switching to Similac Spit Up we had been looking for it in case that was going to be the answer but our local stores (in a major city) carry very low stock (1 store had 1 another store had 2). So with that being the case we asked if we could try a different brand for spit up that was a bad idea it made the spit up worse so we quickly got the Similac Spit Up and within A day saw a difference. Yes even size 2 nipples get clogged but we pinch the clog through and she's back to drinking with no problems. She still spits up but now it's not liquid soaking everything and she's clearly keeping more in. Just wish more options were available like the 8oz ready to feed for travel and that it was easier to find
My son has had constant struggles with spit up but was on Nutramigen for his digestive issues. At six months we were told we could switch. After talking with my pediatrician about his frequent spit up, she sent me home with samples of Similac No Spit Up. It was amazing!! I tried a generic version and it just did not work at all! I went back to the Similac and it has been wonderful! Especially now that he rolls over on his own and loves tummy time! It's made a huge difference for my son. It's a fabulous product! Thanks, Similac!
My 2 month old son was suffering from reflux and spitting up. The pediatrician prescribed Zantac and to add oatmeal cereal to my breast milk. I finally followed my intuition and went to target searching for a similac formula that I could try. I lined up all the varieties and ultimately chose the one for spit up. I know he has reflux and spits up but I wasn't sure of any milk or sensitivities so this one fit our needs the most. I could not believe after just the first feeding what a difference it was. I pray he starts gaining weight now and that the spitting up doesn't start up again. Thank you similac!!!
My baby has been four different formulas and this one has really helped her. She has silent reflux so I was adding rice cereal to a different formula. She still had lots of gas and spit up but I suspect because the other formula wasn't lactose free. She would arch her back and scream in pain at feedings. Now with the similac for spit up she wants to eat (I suspect it tastes better) and we can get through a feeding with multiple burpings instead of her being in pain. My only request would be more choices in this formula like individual ready to feed bottles and individual packets like the other formulas for convenience since it seems that reflux and gerd are pretty common now and the demand should be higher.
