I started baby on breast milk, however, my supply started decreasing so I decided to introduce formula to supplement the difference that baby needs for each feeding. We tried a few 4-pack of the ready for feed which seemed to be working fine but can be expensive so we decided to switch over to powder. Within a week of switching over to powder she started experiencing gas pains, became constipated, fussy, uncomfortable after feedings, and we even began to hear gas bubbles in her tummy along with experiencing difficult evenings due to all the discomfort baby was in. Not sure if the powder is made different but it definitely has a different reaction to our baby than the ready to feed bottles.
My son is primarily breastfed but I find this formula useful for when I am not around and my husband is taking care of him. My husband reports that my son seems to like this formula and I haven't seen any issues in terms of spit up or diaper issues. My only complaint (and the reason I knocked off one star in the rating) is that this formula should be available in the smaller can size (12 oz). Since I am truly using this just to supplement, I am not making enough bottles to use up the large tub before it gets stale. A smaller can would be less wasteful and more economical.
My baby is primarily breastfed but we wanted to give her a little extra so we tried to supplement using this formula as it states it is intended to do so. My baby vomited it all up as soon as the bottle was done, maybe thinking it was a fluke I tried today again (2 weeks later), again vomited everything up. Now we are stuck with it as we won't be able to return this back to the store.
I think the formula works great and my son loves it just as much as breastmilk. The only thing that I would like to see is a larger premixed/ready to feed bottle. The 2oz ones are good for the babies that eat 2-4oz but when your little one eats 4-6oz each feed you go through a box with just a couple feeds.
I tried a bunch of different formulas from all the free samples I received. They all made my little one extremely fussy right after he ate. This was the first formula that didn't give him tons of gas. Love it!! The 2 oz ready to feed bottles are great to keep in the diaper bag!!
