Sportsman Series Gasoline 7000 Watt Generator

The first generator I've ever purchased, never unboxed it until last week, when my power surged with another foreign object. i used it to run my Samsung Fridge, never lost a thing of food. You'll need to buy Oil for it . I've had no problems with it, it is heavy so spend a little more and get the wheels.

It didn't work right from day one. To be fair Walmart did offer refunds but before I knew it my son was trying to fix it. So he was able to get it working off and on a few times but for the price we really didn't get any use out of it. It had problems from day one. No I'm out $400 and have no generator.

Like most of you searching for a generator for your camper like I was this is for you. Our main concern was the noise level but did not want to spend alot of money for a quite one so decided to try this one out. Just received today and like the instructions said I filled with 10W30 motor oil, non synthetic. Plan to run for 10 plus hours and change to a synthetic 10W30. Instructions were easy and followed to the letter. Generstor started the 1st pull and the noise level was NOT that bad. Had it 10 feet from the camper and could not really hear it from inside. Even the outside noise I feel won't be that bad for neighbors for camping without electricity. Grant it this is just the 1st day but if you're trying to decide to spend a 1000 dollars our 250, I would give this one a try. Its running camper AC all the lights and a box fan with ease.

I have ordered this Generator from Walmart, and it arrived, opened it to fill the oil looks good, then added gasoline, which started to spill everywhere as there is a hole in the gas tank. The gasoline got flooded up through the motor and everywhere the floor is full of gasoline. My wife told me to return it to Walmart and I told lets call the lifetime technical helpline, raised the case and explained the problem (nothing happened). Now I have started to return this unit and asked for replacement. I just had this unit for a day in my home and nothing did, it is a piece of garbage.

This is an extremely reliable generator. I live in a motorhome and purchased this for back up power just in case we needed it. I ended up in a dispute with my landlord over damage to my rig and he decided to shut all my power off, illegally, one day after Thanksgiving this last year. Temperatures we down in the low 30s for almost two weeks. My rig has a generator, but if the fuel gets low, it won't work. This generator SAVED us. We would have spent a fortune at a hotel and my fur babies stayed nice warm, so very happy with this purchase. Starts up without fail every time.
