Springmaid Wellington Comforter Set

I purchased this a year ago. Looking for a new one already. First, it snags so easy. Second, the main problem is that there is really no stitching though out the comforter to keep the batting in place. Just a single stitch here and there. So it moved around and was lumpy. It was missing in some areas and balled up in others. Looked messy and not at all elegant. I ended cutting the corner and pulling all the batting out so now it looks like a regular bedspread except it looks like awful. Lessoned learned on what to look for in my next set.

I saw this comforter set in Walmart today and after looking at some of the other stores' comforter sets and prices, I went back to Walmart store to purchase the set. I got the set home and put it on my bed and was very happy about the quality and oversized fit on my very large king size bed. I know good qaulity when I see it. This set and matching pillows that I also purchased looks very high end.

My husband is actually the one who picked this set out of the rest of them. It is beautiful and is soft against the skin. The only thing I noticed is it gets very warm underneath the sheet and this comforter, which is great for in the winter but I will definitely get a separate lighter set for the summer.

I was pleased with the quality of this product when I laid it out on my bed. The fabric was thick. It doesn't feel cheap and thin. I was disappointed as well that all the pieces weren't available as in the picture. Now I need to reconstruct the Euro Shams. I thought maybe they sold them separately but am under the impression they did not. My comforter was not lumpy at all. However, cleaning it someday may present the lumps. I did by the neck roll and did see a gold pillow that I thought might go but I didn't buy it. Now that I look closer at the picture it was the one. I can sew, so this will be an upcoming project - to try and recreate the Euro shams, throw pillows and draperies. However, I did see velvet drapes at Bed, Bath & Beyond, so may just purchase them.

This is the most elegant, comfy comforter I have ever had. In washing it's delicate and must be taken to the dry cleaners and it is very thick. I love this comforter and its very trendy so Im easily able to match furniture, curtains and rugs with it.
