SPT SD-46T Dehumidifier

We ran one for 3 seasons 24/7 in a tack room with some very harsh conditions and no regular filter cleanings or replacement. It is fair to say that this model exceeded expectations for a non-industrial dehumidifier and it's demise was inevitable in the assigned environment and with no maintenance. So I bought another one when the last one wore out. I might try to perform regular maintenance on the new one.

I like the sterilization light feature on this unit. I had a bathroom that smelled musty. I ran it continuous for 3 days and smell was gone. Large water container and has option to put hose from unit so you dont have to drain it yourself. Nice and quiet. Lots of options for fan speed, % of humidity and digital display show you what the room humidity is at. Like this unit very much

I have used this product for a few weeks now and I am impressed. The amount of water that has been emptied for the short period of time is amazing. I am so thrilled with this product that I am thinking of purchasing another one for a different room. The reason for the purchase is dampness and mold in basement which is now converted to a family room and bedroom. Clothes were starting to smell and things were getting musty. Now things seem to be getting drier and the smell is starting to disappear. I would recommend this product.

A bit pricey but for all it's supposed to do (eliminate odor & bacteria) it's worth the price. I've been running it for about a month now and it fills up quickly which is great, telling me it works. The only problem I have is finding a hose attachment...it requires a hose with a 12" diameter and I've been to several Home Depot's and Lowes with no luck...they have several sizes but not that one. It should really come with the hose so you don't have to dump the bucket so often! Other than that, it runs quietly and seems to alleviate some odor in my basement.

Came home from a long trip to find the house saturated in humidity. Biggest problem was the basement, where drawers wouldn't open and the carpet had mildew. This dehumidifier took the moisture right out of the air, cleaned up the air, and restored moisture levels to normal in a few days. It was cheaper at Wal-Mart than custom ordering through a national box home improvement store, too. Love it. I think it was worth every penny.
