Due to a molecular mishap during transport, Picard (Patrick Stewart) and three other crew members return to the Enterprise as 12-year-old children. Though their minds remain intact, the crew has trouble taking them seriously and they are relieved of duty until a cure can be found. Dr. Crusher (Gates McFadden) finds a way to reverse the effects, but before they can begin the process, Klingon warships attack the Enterprise. As the crew prepares to defend the ship, hostile Ferengis materialize on board and take control. Young Picard and his preteen crew use their unusual appearance to sabotage the Ferengi plans - but can these little rascals save the ship?.
