I love this flavor of Starbucks. It is definitely decaf. You do not know it is instant as they use mostly micro ground coffee beans, not the freeze dried stuff. Has a hint of chocolate also. And much better price than the Starbucks stores. Win,win!

I am alarmed to learn that this individual serving coffee is decaffeinated by methylene chloride. Methylene chloride is a category 4 toxin, a carcinogen. It is a solvent used to strip paint and varnish. The EU banned it in 2011. Starbucks, come on you can afford a healthier method to decaf the coffee! Unacceptable!

Did not used to use solvents to decaffeinate the beans for this blend but beginning with the December 2017 expiry batch the packets have a new multilingual look with a disclaimer on the back stating they use methylene chloride. Tastes a little different too. Please complain to cust service about this if you liked this product as it was. They are presumably saving money by using this new method and not passing it along to the consumer, but more importantly I'm not sure I want to continually ingest coffee that's been treated with a solvent

I carry some of these in my purse at all times. Perfect when I get somewhere that doesn't offer decaf. All I need is hot water. Great at hotels, on planes and even at a friends house that doesn't have decaf. Only question, why charge more for decaf? It doesn't seem fair to us decaf coffee drinkers!

I am blown away by how good this INSTANT coffee tastes. I love coffee but after dinner, I want decaf. Up until now I have gone without, because instant coffees are pretty bad. They use real beans in this instant, and it tastes almost identical to the brewed variety. And it's a good rich flavor, nice and bold. It's a bit pricey but I'll cut back elsewhere because the pleasure of having a really tasty cuppa after dinner is worth it.
