I got this for my 2 year old son who loves to "cook". I got it to go with his kitchen and he loves all the different foods. Granted, most aren't very realistic, but he knows what an orange or cheese is, so it must be fine for him. He likes saying "sushi" now since there is sushi in this set.

This had such great reviews, I thought we'd get a quality product. Well, it's a big disappointment in person. The food is all different scales. Mostly I am disappointed by the miniature stuff. There are two (why 2?) clumps of peas that are true size, and a bunch of grapes that are the same size as the peas. The pizza, put together, is probably just over 3 inches in diameter. The bananas are only a few inches long. And then there are some full size potato chips (they look like pringles). The colors are bad-two slices of peach colored swiss cheese. A blob of something that looks like vomit. Oh, and although there is one ice cream "top", there's no cone for it to sit on. And the hot dogs are very small and permanently attached to the buns. I thought my daughter would be able to cook up some hotdogs in her frying pan at her play kitchen. Apparently only if she wants to cook the bun as well. Two big thumbs down. I will likely return this if I can find something better.

I looked at a few different stores, both online and in person, and this is the best play food set I've found. I really like that this product isn't associated with any commercial brands (McD's, etc). It has a good mix of healthy "raw" food like fruits and vegetables and some premade things like tacos. It even has sushi! Much better than the canned stuff in some of the other sets out there. The only thing I would change, is that some of the food doesn't match proportianlly with the others. For example, one piece of brocolli is the same size as a whole cauliflower head. It doesn't affect its functionality at all, and a kid probably wouldn't know or care about the difference. My daughter plays with this every day, and her cousins wish they had it, too. I guess I am getting more :) The price is excellent, especially when you do the Ship-To-Store for free.

My two year old loved the quantity that he had and I loved the quantity for the price that I paid. Some of the food was a little hard to distinguish so it would have been nice to have some type of manual or pamphlet with it. But overall, it was a good product.

This food was a hit with my grand-nephew at Christmas. We purchased it to go along with the Little Tike Shopping Cart. There are many varieties of food - some even work together - for instance, you can build a hamburger with cheese, lettuce, and tomato on the bun. I'm sure he'll have tons of fun with it! (I had to click on Never below since we don't use it - our little g-nephew does - his mother reports, everyday!).
