Step2 Grand Walk-In Wood Play Kitchen with 15 Piece Accessory Play Set

My granddaughter loves this kitchen. Grandpa hated putting it together. Be aware it has many pieces to assemble. One piece was missing from the set but the manufacturer sent it after a quick call. Does require alot of room once assembled. Still my granddaughter is thrilled...

Beyond disappointed with this product and won't buy another Step 2 product because of it. First, the quality is horrible. It is thin pressed wood that came chipped and some pieces split when I put the screws in. Customer service was almost rude with their replies and eventually told me that this product only has a 90 day warranty. That says they realize it's poor quality and don't stand behind the product. Second, it was missing 5 pieces so after getting it 1/3 the way assembled it had to sit for almost 2 weeks waiting for the parts. Third, it took many hours to assemble. It wouldn't have been bad but since it was partially assembled for weeks waiting for parts didn't help. Plus most the stickers weren't on so you had to figure out what pieces were which. Overall, it is a cute idea but horrible quality and extremely overpriced for what you get. I would have returned it but my daughter saw it and was excited for it and I didn't want to deal with the hassle. Definitely regret my purchase and should have purchased a different one from a different company. Would have been better quality and cheaper.

I have to say, this is BEAST to assemble. With over 100 pieces to assemble, plus another couple hundred screws and dowels, this will take a good bit of time. Someone said they assembled it in two hours (you are to be saluted if true!), but it took me almost 45 just to carefully unpack and organize everything - total time assembling with no help from opening the box to completion was 6 hours. Make sure each piece has its numbered label (the little labels can sometimes fall off) or it will take even more time. Also, make sure to do the prep for installing dowels, etc. on the first page before the first step - the page is non-descript but very important. With all the pieces, I was pleasantly surprized there was nothing missing. The only hiccup was the face of the drawer ended up coming off (glue did not hold up). But I contacted Step2, told them the part number and they shipped it immediately. The set is very sturdy and our 4 year olds and 16 month old love it! I would recommend it - it is a challenge to assemble and will likely kill an evening (an excellent Saturday night activity under COVID restrictions) but you will be rewarded with many imaginary pancakes and coffee breaks with your children!!

Directions could be a little better but overall great little kitchen set. Seems sturdy, my kids love it! It took about 6 hours to put together. Fridge doesn't attach to kitchen but I was ok with that because we can put it where we want it.
