SO disappointed in this. It is extremely difficult to maneuver without holding a baby. While holding a baby it is impossible. So very disappointed. Do not waste your money, time, or effort.

The latch on this gate is use, and it is a pain to open and close. My daughters have basement bedrooms, so I bought this for the top of the stairs to keep my one year old from going downstairs. My daughters can't open the gate, and it takes some muscle for me to. It also isn't very sturdy unless you have enough of a landing with wall or railing on each side to install it over the flooring on the top floor so that the foot peg can rest on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this easy installation and light weighted safety gate. It was easy breezy to install and doesn't require alot of handwork and time. The only problem I had was with the button that opens the latch, you kind of have to switch it then lift the gate door a little for it to open. Wished there was a button we can just press to unlock it or a smoother switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gate is nice and sturdy, it's easy to install comes with all the screws and a plastic piece to put between the wall and gate. The gate is easy to use it latches and opens like a door so you don't have to remove the gate every time you need to get through which is great especially when you have a small child. I don't have to worry about my child trying to climb over the gate or trying to pull the gate down. I've already recommend to my family and friends especially new parents. It is a little challenging to put together but all in all it is a great gate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm on my 3rd child, and thus have been around the block with baby gates. The Mill Valley gate is beautiful. Its a great compliment to our homes decor (which leans a bit more towards the farmhouse feel than my husband would like). The gate seems to be constructed solidly and that it can withstand lots of use.The installation was simple! This gate blocks off our stairs which need to be accessed by multiple people in our home, numerous times a day. I have no doubt that this gate will be sturdy long past when we will require the stairs to be blocked for our kids.
