Stock up on these! Great disaster food, also wonderful for baking, recipes, and snacks. Hurricane season, wax paper wrap inside makes ideal, portable food.
Prefer these raisins to the dark variety. Multiple uses! They're awesome in rice recipes, especially combined with carrots. I mostly combine them with pepper jack cheese and salted nuts for a snack.
Golden raisins are better in everything. More pleasing to the eye in baked goods, meats as well as salads. Dark brown raisins seem to leave behind a grittiness, and they don't retains that plumpness in baking, trailmix and in salads. Just a better option in opinion.
Our family prefers the golden raisins as a healthy snack or addition to cookies and cereal. However, recently these raisins have been a lessor quality, and the raisins seem to be 2nd or 3rd string. Many are tiny, dried up raisins, and not as moist and chewy as they were in the past. Could be an environmental event, bad crop, etc. Hope this trend doesn't continue, as this used to be a favorite product.
I like these but didn't like the fact that if you order more than one at a time sealed empty boxes were included in my order. usually the containers with raisins are crushed, however the empty sealed boxes were in perfect condition except no raisins. who is packing maybe robot's
