I have purchased 2 of these heaters and have had the same issue with both of them. The red light only turns on as soon as I plug the heater in the outlet and then never comes on again unless I unplug and plug back in. Sometimes the water is super warm and other times it's ice cold. Never consistent. I followed all instructions too, put it in the water for 30 mins before plugging it in, always keeping it fully submerged and unplugging for 30 mins before removing it from the water. I don't get it...

We have 2 3.5 gallon and a 10 gallon tank, have been using the 2-15 gallon heater for 8 years with no issues. It's temp is auto set, just put in tank and done. They are perfect for 3 to 10 gallon tanks. Friend is surprising child with a small fish tank, bought this one for her.

I purchased this for a 5.5 gallon shrimp tank so it's fine. It's not adjustable so I wouldn't use it in a tank with fish that need warmer water -- it stays at about 75 degrees fahrenheit which is fine for some species such as shrimp but not warmer climate fish.

It does its job. It keeps the tank at 78 degrees automatically. No need to fidget with it after installation

I really like this heater. I thought it wouldn't have a light indicator upon looking at it. I was wrong. It keeps my 5.5 gallon tank at a steady 78-80 degrees. I really like it. Nothing bad about it so far.
