Hi Jessica, So the need for this release device was to drop a 8 oz fishing sinker attacked to light fishing line over 100 foot tree tops. Then the fishing line pulled up parachute cord that was attached to an 75 meter amateur radio dipole antenna. Worked great!

Great Price compared to some more specific release systems. I like how the release mechanism is in the middle of the drone pulling on all four motors instead of just two. Nice foam packaging. Great Parachute. And if you ever lose the bag clip it comes with, you can always use a mini binder clip. Havent had any range problems. I was at 300ft distance or more.

I have a DJI mavic Pro 2. The unit blocked sensors on the bottom of the drone and it flew into a wall and broke one of the rotor arms. I have sent the drone back to DJI for repair. Its on me, I was having a hard time controlling the drone and should have landed it earlier but I kept flying trying to master control with the unit attached.I think I figured out a way to attach it to one of the rotor arms which I will try when the drone comes back fixed.

Love this thing, it works perfect!!!! I have used it for fishing and for fun with the water balloons.... I did loose the clip it came with however it was my fault, I took my eyes off the balloon dropping and cannot find the clip, for now. I improvised and used a paper clip which works just as well....

I initially bought this to help pull a drone out of a tree about 60 up, with another drone. I fashioned a 10 long string with a coat hanger hook on one end and a loop on the other. I strapped this unit to the belly of the drone and slipped the moveable rod through the hoop. I wanted to be sure if the hook got caught on a branch or the drone was too heavy, i had a way of releasing the string.Well, the drone in the tree is now safely on the ground. I cant wait to drop some water balloons!
