I bought this vacuum hoping to reap all the benefits of a canister vacuum. Unfortunately, this vacuum is terrible. The vacuum looks nice, that's about it. It has trouble sucking up anything heavier than dust! First thing out of the box my three year old pulls the cord past the do not pull past sign, now the thing does not return the cord to the unit. I used it to vacuum a rug and hardwood floor. As soon as I turn off the unit all of the dirt it picked up pours out the end. So now I have to hold the stupid thing up and shake it to get the dirt to the canister. One thing is for sure, I don't ever have to empty the canister, because no dirt makes it there! Don't waste your time or money!
I love this vacuum cleaner. It has a lot of suction, quite, and easy to move around. I have found the cannister does not have to be emptied as often as given in some review comments. I would highly recommend this vacumm cleaner. Couldn't be better and the price was very affordable.
This vacuum is great for hardwood and tile; my floors feel really clean with little effort. It does a good job on my throw rugs as well. It's light weight and compact. I love not having to buy bags even if I have to handle the dirt. The self winding cord is really handy. The carpet attachment is very light duty and tends to hold the dog hair. The other hand tools are very minimal. All in all, I have no regrets buying this vacuum and it does everything I expected.
I was debating between this turbo and the regular one and I'm glad I decided on the turbo. You'll never know how much you'll like the controls on the handle instead of the canister until you get it. Plus the extra cord length is great. It's light and easily moves across the floor. I have all laminate and tile floors so I can't say how it would work on carpet. I also have a dog who seems to shed every second and the vacuum works great at picking up all the fur balls too.
I am used to canister vacuum cleaners who actually have bags so I guess I might be a bit prejudged towards this article. Anyways, the fact that it did not use bags was a welcoming idea, however, after having to clean this item a few times, I have to say that it is very tricky not to get any of the dust, and other stuff inside it, into your face. I live in a pretty windy but warm area (so the windows are always open) and it is pretty hard to get it emptied without spreading the contents of it all over. Another thing I kind of dislike is that it easily overheats when it becomes a bit fuller. It takes pretty long before you can actually use it again (after emptying, otherwise you keep having the problem). As for suction, I do think it has enough suction. We have a few cats walking around so there's a lot of hairs to be sucked up by the Dirt Devil and so far I have to admit that it did it's job as one has to expect. I guess this is a great item to have if you have no problem with it being bagless (or perhaps are a bit more handy than I am) and if you do not live in a warm environment (I think that is another reason why it gets overheated so easily, I did not have this problem during the winterseason), but if you're a bit like me, I would say go for one which uses bags instead.
