Rechargeable Hand Vac

I've had two of these Extremes over the last few years. The first one's charger quit and it was unreplaceable. So I got the latest version of the vacuum a little over a year ago, because aside from the battery system it's a good machine. But the battery quit holding a charge a couple months ago, and now only runs with much power for only a few seconds. It could be the battery or another failed charger, I can't tell. It has been kept plugged in 24/7 and the red lamp on the vacuum cycles on and off regularly. I'll not buy another non-lithium hand vac, much less another cordless Dirt Devil. What a waste to get everything else right, but provide such a poor battery power system.

The absolute BEST Hand Held Vacuum I've ever owned. Please dont ever this model. The suction on this model is beyond any hand held Vac I have ever owned. I am overwhelmed by it's performance. I have recommended this Vac to my 4 children and their spouses.

This is my second portable vacuum with Dirt Devil brand. Last one was red and was last for one year. If you are heavily using this portable vacuum, you will expect it will last for one year. I tried to bring it back to the certified manufacturer shop at Covina as it is still under the three years manufacturer warranties. The guys at that shop are not helpful. He immediately suggested me to buy a new one. Waited for one month, and I didn't receive a call from him. I called him a month later after leaving my vacuum to his shop as he promised he will check with producer whether the producer will exchange a new one for me. Indeed, he didn't do anything when I called him again. He said, he needed an extra one week to check. After one week, he called me, the producer warranties doesn't cover the motor of the vacuum. According to him, this is a common issue with this type of portable vacuum. This is the only concern you may consider if you never try a portable vacuum with Dirt Devil. I am still using it even though it has such issue. Because it is very convenient for cleaning tiny dirt on table, food on dinning floor, a few hair in bathroom floor or rubber dirt on kids table which doesn't allow you to plug in a power cord to operate the vacuum.

I got this hand held vacuum about a month ago and it works great. It has plenty of power for household quick touch-up cleaning. It is light and very attractive.

Worked great for 3 months, then wouldn't charge. Did all of the trouble shooting and still won't charge. Contacted C.S. and got a replacement, again. This is unit #3 in 15 months.
