Vital Proteins, Vital Performance Pre, Lemon Grape, 13oz

I've taken several different pre-workouts with about the same effect—an energized boost to get me through my workout. This one fails to do it for me, following the recommendations for amount of product and about 30 minutes prior to hitting the gym. But, the worst part of it, is it's so gross! It doesn't taste anything like clementine! It tastes more like cough syrup. Do the developers taste test these? I'm genuinely curious. So, I'll be going back to my old pre-workout.

The only thing I've ever had to drink that tasted worse was something that had gone rotten. I usually force myself to finish things I've purchased because I don't want to waste the money. I won't be finishing this and I've not even finished the first mix from it. Sadly, this is my first experience with Vital Performance and it will be my last.

I didn't want something that would get me all hopped up and itchy, I wanted something that would give me just a little boost, nothing too extreme. This seems to do the job. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 4-5 is the taste. I can't remember the last time I tasted something as gross as this. I know it sounds like an exaggeration, but it's so bad that it makes me want to throw up every single time, and I need to take deep breathes to get it under control. I'll keep taking it though.

I love Vital Proteins products, but the preworkout powder is my all time favorite. I take a scoop of the powder right before my workout and I feel 10x more energized and motivated. My stamina and strength significantly improve when I use this product. I have never been one to dry scoop but the grape flavor makes it easy. Great flavor abs even better results. Highly recommend this brand to everyone.
