Vornado - AVH10 1500 Watt Indoor Electric Fan Forced Space Heater with Auto Climate Control - White

This is the 3rd AVH10 heater I've purchased in the last 2 years (for our home and my children's dorms). It's quiet, extremely efficient (warms up a room very quickly), and maintains the selected temp perfectly. No safety issues to worry about like the space heaters of years past. It's design is also aesthetically pleasing as well. All around, an A+!!!

Very pleased with the latest model. Using it as a supplemental heater in the master bedroom, which tends to run cold. Incredibly quiet and efficient; only using at 750 and it's more than enough...though I like knowing the 1500 is available for when we get below zero here in northern Maine. Had an older model that lasted 10+ years so I definitely recommend.

I live in San Antonio, TX and winter can be fairly cold. We have central heat but our apartment is so poorly insulated it's like no heat at all. I bought this particular model because I have a 12-year old VH102 (which still works) but I wanted something that had a digital thermostat on it. Things I like about the new unit: the digital thermostat works within a degree or two; the unit shuts off when it reaches the temp you've selected; and there's a big, easy-to-read temp on the top. The best thing? This unit will keep you warm! It's not made to stand in front of and "warm up" like you would a fireplace but if you read and understand the vortex technology and use it as designed you'll be amazed at the comfort. (If you're buying something to tuck under your desk at work to keep your legs warm, you may need a different model). Other features I appreciate are the safety tip-over and the quietness. The only thing (and it's minor) is the red LED that shows it's on might be too bright (at night) for some people but it's nothing a piece of duct tape can't fix. I like the AVH10 so much I'm thinking about gifting my old one to a neighbor and getting another!

I ordered this and the first one I received a broken one. I called they told me what to do (didn't have to return it) and sent me a new one within a week. The heater itself is awesome. It is absolutely quiet, small, and heats my entire basement is no time.
