VTECH V.Smile TV Learning System Plus - Game console - pink

We bought this for our 3 yr old daughter for christmas in 2007 and she absolutely loves it. The only problem is that it doesn't come on sometimes. We bought another pink and it did the same exact thing, it would not come on. my husband was messing around with the adapter in the back and if it's pushed in all the way it won't come on he says you have to play with it and find the "sweet spot". For the money we have tied up in all of her games I feel that we should not have to play with the adapter for it to come on. I spoke with the dept manager at wal-mart and she said since I bought another pink one and it did the same thing that there may be a manufacturers defect, she told me to contact v-tech because we should have a 1 yr warranty on it. It would be an awesome game if we can get it to work ALL the time.

My daughter showed an interest in video games, so we got this for her birthday. She loves it and the buttons and controller are very teachable. However, I was a little disappointed in the graphics. We have a larger TV, so maybe that's why they don't look as well. I guess I figured that since we live in a high tech society with other gaming units, this one would be no different. On the up-side, she loves the games and they're very educational.

My daughter has been playing with her Vtech V.Smile since Christmas and the batteries just went bad today. I came on line to order the adapter. However, it is out of stock. The price for the adapter is really reasonable. I suggest that you purchase it when you buy the system. She is enjoying the game and we find ourselves playing the game with her. It is easy to handle and work. She was a pro on the first day with using and working the system. She plays it just about everyday when we get home. I would suggest this toy to others.

I bought the v-tech v-smile for my son and daughter 2 yrs ago. They loved it. It helped them with thier letter recognition and phonics. It also helped them improve thier hand eye coordination. That is why I bought it this Christmas for my 3 year old niece. She is really enjoying it! And so is her mother.I recommend this product for children about 3 1/2 yrs to 6 yrs.of age. Just know when they first get it, they will need help. Just until they get the hang of the controls.

We really like this product it goes through letters, numbers, ect. The only problem is that it is more passive learning than direct when set on easy. My daughter wanted a computer so she took awhile to get interested but now plays a few times a week.
