[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wella Color Charm Liquid Hair Color is my favorite permanent color solutions. It mixes with a 1:2 ratio, does not smell incredibly offensive, and provides the most natural, even color payoff. The red shades are the best available on the market in my opinion. I purchase this regularly at Sally Beauty and happily ALWAYS get professional results with little damage when used with either 30v developer in my roots and 20v developer on my lengths. This is a repurchase for me and a product I recommend.

Look, if you follow the directions, toners work! They should only be used to correct bleached hair with a 10 volume developer, which only deposits toning with no lifting. You have to get to the right level of lightness with bleach for toners to work. With that in mind, you have to match the bleached level to the toner level. For example, if you bleach your hair to a level 9, then you need to use a level 9 toner to correct the brassiness of the bleach.

I bleached my hair to lift the semi permanent color from it. My hair turned bright highlighter pink!!! Luckily I had Wella T14 toner tucked away. It got rid of the pink and toned my hair so beautifully to an ash blonde color that is perfect for my skin tone!!!

Quality control I started using only Wella products about 4 years ago. It was introduced and suggested to me by a hair stylist who used to dye my hair. At that time, it was only possible to purchase individual components and the boxed product became available about a year ago. I have been buying the boxed product and doing myself since then. In the past month I have purchased and used 3 boxes. Same color as always; however, not the same results. The first one turned my roots purple. The second box also turned purple in the bowl so I didn't try to use it. The third didn't turn purple so I applied it. I am not too sure what I would call this color but it is not a color that I want to have on my head or anything like what is on the box. Is this the quality of product which I can expect in Mexico or is this type of thing happening elsewhere????

I did not have a change to go to the salon for a touch up, so I decided to try it myself. After much reviews and tutorials, I chose to go with T18. My original hair is color is a level one with a balayage of levels 6-10. This product was easy to mix and apply with great results. I was able to remove the brass and achieve the ashy tones that my stylist was not able to. The only down side is length of wear. It has been about 2 weeks since the application and I am almost back to brass.
