These student scissors are well made and will last through the middle school and high school years for projects needed at school with a 10 year warranty. These are a great step up from the kids scissors ... the bigger handles are light and easy to use with either hand, and the long strong blades do a great job on heavy duty paper and cardboard, and pretty good job on thicker things like poster and foam boards (although requires a bit more pressure to cut through, as you would imagine).
