Whirlpool - 28.4 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Storage - Black Stainless Steel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Broke within 3 weeks. Difficult to get in touch with warranty people. Have appointment for over one week out with an 8 hr window. On hold for over 30 minutes. Told the hold was long because of the Holiday weekend, which was a normal 2 day weekend. No apology. Really disappointed!!!

This fridge is a decent unit with a MAJOR FLAW. After 2-3 years worth of use the wire harness for the ice maker and water is put in the hinge at the bottom of the door. This means with general use, there's only two of us in the house, the wires broke which made the ice maker, ice dispenser and other functions in the door not work. After calling a tech he came out and got on with Whirpools support and the first thing they asked was if the wires were broken. The wires were ripped apart and and said in order to get it replaced it would cost almost as much as the fridge itself. To know this is a problem and not supply with a replacement lets me know they messed and up and I will never buy a whirlpool again.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Extremely disappointing experience. We have been waiting a year now for a new freezer door so it will make ice. It is extremely noisy, way beyond anything we have ever heard I can be heard in any room of the house when running. Whirlpool support has been the absolute worst. I do like the size and layout but it would be enjoyable if it actually worked and didn't sound like a truck.
