Winsome Wood Terry 3-Tier Foldable Shelf, Stackable, Walnut Finish

Got this as a dupe for those Container Store bookcases. The style is similar but that's about it. Unlike those CS bookcases, this does NOT arrive assembled. The assembly definitely could be smoother, and it's taken my boyfriend and I much longer than it should to put this stupid thing together. Next time I'll just get a different color from the CS instead of ordering another one of these inferior pieces.

These bookshelves are largely hit or misses on quality assembly. I've had to order and return multiple bookcases since the screws along the joints didn't line well with the ones on the other side or the wood pieces were damaged in multiple places. Overall would not order or purchase a Winsome Wood product again, their quality control is terrible.

First off the bookcases arrived early. Assembly was needed but was easy. You can stack them, if you do I recommend using the security wall strap that is included with the shelf. They stacked easily and they look fantastic. One of the shelves had a crack in it, that became the top shelf by default and you can't even see it. They look fantastic stacked ! 20 pounds is the max weight for each shelf, which is no big problem unless you are planning on filling the shelf with books. We did a combo of books and knick knacks and it worked out fantastic. So YES there is assembly required, but, that little extra time is worth it because these shelves are beautiful.

Absolutely love this shelf but Gimminy it was a pain to put together. Why is it that assembly instructions are written by people who obviously never had to put this product together. Once put together though it is a beautiful shelf that is super sturdy. Highly recommend if you can puzzle through the assembly.

Color, size and design are exactly what I needed and expected. Assembly was super simple even for a female of over 67 alone. I had to do slight touch up sanding and finishing of the wood in one spot. Now it looks great and it is perfect for my small office space.
